Presentation
A remarkably attractive town
Laudun-l'Ardoise is an atypical little town in the heart of Provence Occitane. You can download an app to discover the town's rich historic treasures on a bicycle or on foot. In the centre, there are well-preserved vestiges of the Middle Ages and Renaissance period. Follow in the footsteps of the painters Auguste Renoir and Albert André. Continue your walk up to Sainte-Foy hill, a natural eminence overlooking the village and home to a hanging garden, the pretty chapel of the White Penitents and a Virgin and Child. Further up, on the vast Lacau plateau, you'll return to Roman era at Camp Caesar, a really interesting archaeological site. Around the town, take in the beauty of the landscapes and the vineyards. Whoever you come with, be prepared for nice surprises.
