PR 29 La Chartreuse de Valbonne

Enjoy a moment of escape from the majestic Chartreuse de Valbonne, a listed historic monument, and immerse yourself in the state forest, with its northern vegetation and southern climate.
In a shady setting, take a stroll and discover the specific botanical features of this enchanted site.
At "La Chartreuse de Valbonne", after a road sign indicating the site, turn left along a shady path towards "Font des Dames".
From "Font des Dames", cross the D23 and head for "Chapelas". At the top of the hill at the "Chapelas" point, continue along the section of track on the right towards "Le Sarraier", then go around the vineyard.
Then descend to the left for 200 m. After the vineyard plot, turn right down a slope. At the top, continue straight downhill for 500 m. At the bottom, turn right for 50 m and then right off the GR 42 at "Le Sarraier" towards "Terre de blé".
From "Terre de blé", follow the route towards "Veille route de Montalivet" along a beech forest track. Follow the road to the right and reach "Font des Dames".
From "Font des Dames", take the footpath to cross the D23 again and follow the botanical interpretation trail on the left for 300 m, which skirts the Chartreuse site to the south.
After the gate, turn left onto the forest road as far as "Croix de Sablé", then right towards "Croisée Tourache Valérian".
Leave the forest road and turn left onto a slightly downhill path. Make sure you stay on the main path.
Continue downhill on the left, then at the intersection, turn left towards the valley.
At the "Croisée Tourache Valérian" fork, turn right towards "Mas de Tourache" on the road after the Mas de la Broze. At the "Mas de Tourache" point, to the right of a vineyard, continue on a forest road rising into the garrigue and follow the signs to the "Chemin de Saint-Jean" point.
Continue to follow the path on the right uphill to "Chemin de Saint-Jean", then the road to finally reach the parking lot.
