Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel
Presentation
A small Romanesque building with foundations dating back to the 11th century, the Saint Jean-Baptiste chapel was abandoned at the end of the 17th century to make way for a new parish church.
Rediscovered by Léon Alègre in the 1860s, it was again forgotten in the early 20th century. And it wasn't until 1969 that a Restoration Committee was set up to save it.
Following its inclusion in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments in 1986, it was restored and opened to the public.
Come and discover this building with its 14th-century murals.
